Iryna Markova grew up in Kharkiv, Ukraine, a city known for its rich history and resilience. From a young age, she demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for technology and problem-solving, often tinkering with electronics to understand how they worked. After completing her studies in engineering, she joined the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), where her expertise in device detection and countermeasures quickly earned her a place on high-priority missions. Iryna’s skillset in tracking and neutralizing enemy gadgets was put to the test during a critical operation where she developed a groundbreaking detection system that allowed her team to locate and disable enemy devices before they could be used. Her success in this mission led to her recruitment into Rainbow, where she adopted the codename “Relay.”
